Me ha parecido oír en el informativo CNN+ de las 21:30 de hoy que Zapatero prometía un referéndum sobre la constitución europea. Como no he vuelto a ver la noticia ni en periodista digital, ni en la agencia EFE, ni en la propia página de internet de CNN.plus, supongo que habrá sido una alucinación. Porque Zapatero, como Secretario General de un partido que concurre a las elecciones europeas, habrá leído la legislación que las reglamenta, incluída la LEY ORGÁNICA 17/2003, de 28 de noviembre, de medidas para la celebración simultánea de las elecciones al Parlamento Europeo y del Referéndum sobre el Proyecto de Constitución Europea. En cualquier caso me alegro de que hable del tema, ya que, como comenté en un post reciente de mi propia bitácora, los medios españoles no habían hablado hasta el momento de tal posibilidad, limitándose a comentar las luchas de poder de uno u otro país que, como siempre, dejarán a Europa con un Parlamento débil y una Comisión fuerte.

COMMENTED ENGLISH VERSION: What a funny joke! I have the impression I've heard TV say that our brand new president, Mr. José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, promised a referendum for the European Constitution. I think it was a joke, because I have read nothing in spanish news sites, including that TV station website. Obviously it was a joke, because the man in charge of the Spanish main party is preparing the campaign for the European Parliament, and he has to read all laws concerning the election, INCLUDING a Spanish "organic" (main) law voted last november, in the previous legislative period, that stablished that a Referendum for the European Constitution and the poll for European Parliament would be held same day.
