Spanish Vice-President, Mrs. Fernández de la Vega: "We want citizens be informed and responsible when they decide [about European Constitution] on February, 14th."
She saids this to announce that a hardcopy of the Euro-Constitution will be attached to most newspapers this sunday. She has show that as an achivement, instead of being embarrased from it. Why embarrassed? Because I have my printed version yet, courtesy of a bus company. Because they have waited until the last minute (there is just a month from now: only 15 days of pre-campaign and 15 of official campaign) to give info to the people. OOOH, they also put a webpage, yes, some months ago. With same info people could read at EU web. (Yes, European Union had its own web, also... it has an entire domain: .eu).
I feel I will vote no. I like Europe. In fact, being European is good, when being Spanish is embarrassing. But I will vote no. This constitution DOES NOT give more rights to the people, like they say in the TV. This constitution DOES NOT make a Political Union from the ashes of a Trade Agreement. No, this constitution keeps being a Trade Agreement. And I prefer the previous agreement: at least, it clearly said what it was. I will promote "NO", also. This is my new gmail signature, indeed:
We want Europe, but we don't want THIS Europe. Vote NO to this Constitution.
